Work areas
The YTCC interface has four work areas. The home page and the screen editor share one browser tab; the configuration editor and the runtime screen open in tabs of their own.
Home page
The home page opens first. Its tabs are Projects, Processes, Test, Licence and Settings. On the Projects tab you create projects, see them in the List or Tiles view and start or stop them. The RUNNING PROJECT panel at the top shows the project that is running.
Right-click a project in the list to open the other work areas. The menu has Open (screen editor), Configuration editor and Runtime, followed by Start, Stop, Restart, Rename, Copy, Move to collection… and Delete.
Screen editor
The screen editor is where you draw the screens of a project: pages, symbols, popups and layouts. It opens in the same
tab as the home page when you open a project, and the browser tab title shows the project name followed by
YTCC Studio. An asterisk at the start of the title means there are unsaved changes.
The Run button at the right of the editor toolbar starts a test run inside the editor. It does not open the runtime screen. Press Esc to return to editing.
Configuration editor
The configuration editor is where you define what the screens show and control: drivers, devices, signals, alarms,
history, areas and zones, server scripts and users. It opens in a separate browser tab whose title starts with YTCC Studio. If the tab
for that project is already open, YTCC switches to it instead of opening another one.
Its main sections are All, Signals, Drivers, Signal settings, Alarms, Historian, Areas and zones, Automation, Users and Tools.
You can open it from the project list menu (Configuration editor), from the Configuration button on a project card or in the RUNNING PROJECT panel, or from the Configuration editor button in the screen editor toolbar.
Runtime screen
The runtime screen shows the project's screens the way operators use them, with live values, alarms and commands. It opens in a new browser tab. Open it from the project list menu (Runtime), from the Runtime button in the RUNNING PROJECT panel or from Run on a project card.
The runtime screen does not use the language chosen in Settings. It uses the language of the signed-in user, then the language an operator chose in this browser without signing in, then the project's Operator language. If none is set, it opens in English. A language chosen in the session menu while signed in is saved in the user's profile and applies on every station.
