Requirements

A YTCC server runs on one computer with Windows or Linux. PostgreSQL and Node.js are installed separately, before YTCC.

Operating system

YTCC runs on 64-bit Windows and Linux.

Operating systemInstallation
WindowsWith the setup program. Administrator rights are needed to run it.
LinuxAsk your YTCC supplier for the installation.

PostgreSQL

YTCC stores its configuration, history and alarm records in PostgreSQL. The setup program does not install it.

Install PostgreSQL 18 on the server, on Windows with the default service name postgresql-x64-18 and the default port 5432. Note the password you give the postgres user during its installation: the setup program asks for it. The setup program does not install YTCC without this service, and the YTCC service starts after it.

YTCC creates the two PostgreSQL extensions it needs, pgcrypto and pg_trgm, by itself. Both are part of the standard PostgreSQL installation.

Node.js

The web interface and the project server run on Node.js. Install a Node.js LTS release, version 20 or later, for all users of the computer; the setup program does not install YTCC without it.

When Node.js or PostgreSQL is missing, the pre-flight check of the setup program shows it in red, with a download link for the version YTCC needs.

Included in the setup program

  • The YTCC programs, the web interface and the project server.
  • The message bus (NATS 2.14.1), so it does not need to be installed separately.
  • The Node.js modules of the interface and the project server, so no internet connection is needed during installation.
  • Everything the wizard needs to run; the server does not need .NET.

Free ports

These ports must be free on the server. The setup program checks them before installing, also against the ports of other YTCC installations on the computer, and suggests a free port block when they clash. The port table lists all ports, including the ones drivers use.

5000Process manager

8771Project server
8772Project bridge
8773Web interface

The alarm service uses port 8090; make sure no other program uses it. Port 5432 is not free: PostgreSQL listens on it.
